Cedar Chips Alumni Association - How Can You Get Involved? PDF Print E-mail

There are several ways you can help the troop; the alumni hold three to four events per year. They include a Thanksgiving mixer on the fourth Wednesday of November, and a New Year's Eve reception at the end of the year. Cedar Chips and the Friends of Troop 237 sponsor fundraising events throughout the year. Our "Dinner and a Movie" and "A Nite at the Races" have been tremendous successes in the past. Grab some friends, come down and enjoy a great night out while supporting your favorite Boy Scout Troop in the process. Also, yearly membership entitles you to use the Scout Center facilities when they are not being used for programming. Your name will also be placed on the Alumni Plaque in the Scout Center for that year. Donations from "Alumni at Large" and "Friends of 237" are also greatly appreciated, and will be duly acknowledged.

The Boy Scouts of America, a movement which has had hundreds of millions of members, was started by the actions of one unknown scout on a foggy day in London. The contribution of one can truly benefit many, and each member undoubtedly counts.
